Long Island Canoe and Kayak Rentals at Treasure Cove Resort Marina- Behind the Hotel

Looking for fun on the forks? Spend a few hours – or an entire day – discovering the natural beauty of Long Island’s local waterways. Ideally located on the picturesque Peconic River, Long Island Canoe Kayak Rentals, part of Treasure Cove Resort Marina (located adjacent to the Long Island Aquarium and Hyatt Place East End), features in-season canoe, kayak, stand up paddle board, fishing pole, water bike, electric tour board, and bicycle rentals. Atlantis Explorer Tour Boat- Behind the Hotel

If you’re looking for something fun to do, take an interactive, educational 1 1/2 hr. trip aboard the Atlantis Explorer – a unique “floating classroom.” It’s a fascinating way to discover the ecological wonders of Long Island’s waterways.


The Atlantis Explorer Tour Boat takes you down the Peconic River and into Flanders Bay. Conducted by Long Island Aquarium Educators, the adventure offers plenty of opportunity for hands-on exploration while promoting environmental awareness and education about the Peconic Estuary. The Atlantis Explorer sets sail seasonally (weather permitting).

Long Island Farm Country- 4¾ miles from hotel

The East End is home to farms that provide year round products including fruits, vegetables, ornamental horticulture products and grape vines galore.  Both forks are dotted with family owned farm stands featuring "Grown on Long Island produce". Many also offer locally grown annuals and perennials from spring through fall.

In addition to fresh produce, enjoy homemade jams, honey and pies at local farm stands and markets. Most produce stands also offer pick your own peaches, strawberries, apples, pumpkins and other local fruits.

During the fall season, East End farms open their fields for pumpkin picking. Pumpkin picking is an annual family fall tradition. Many area farms also celebrate the season with spectacular fall festivals, featuring cornfield, mazes and more.
